Automatic Busbar Frame in Alumina Production Process, known as the busbar lifting mechanism, is used to lift the anode periodically for aluminum electrolysis industry. The automatic anode jacking frame is regularly lifted by the PTM to the area above the potshell. The frame-equipped devices are handled by remote control for operations such as unscrewing and screwing clamps, clamping of anode rods, getting close to the anode busbar, etc. The anode jacking frame is used when the bus bar has reached its lower limit. It clamps the anodes into position while freeing the bus bar, allowing it to be lifted. After several tests and modifications, Patented “JODA” Full Automatic anode jacking frame, came into service in a large aluminium smelter in China since Jan. 2015, as the first Automatic Anode Jacking Frame in China, and completely fulfilled designed function and has been running smoothly.

The equipment consists of the frame, anode grabs, hydraulic wrenches, lifting beams, landing legs, ground supports, etc. All anode grabs springs are installed with the same height and travel distance to ensure the synchronization of all clamps actions.Release and fastening of the anode clamp can be so integrated onto “JODA” Full Automatic Anode Jacking Frame that the whole process of jacking anode beam can be mechanized and automatically, which greatly improves the quality of raising anode beam and reduces the electricity as well as labor cost.
